Our REACH IN products came after many requests from users looking for a tool to get at problem areas in a workpiece. In response Grier Abrasive assembled the Grier Flex-Shaft and Reach-in Mandrel
The GRIER FLEX-SHAFT consists of a flexible cable with a threaded spindle mounted on one end to receive a threaded mounted point. This cable passes through a copper tube that can be bent to a desired curvature. The FLEX-SHAFT allows you to get into hard to reach areas of the workpiece to remove material. For use only in enclosed guarded areas. Max rpm is 6,000.
The #500 REACH-IN MANDREL has a 1/4” X 6” tapered spindle tapped and threaded to receive a mounted point with a threaded mandrel. This mandrel allows you to reach confined space not accessible with conventional mandrels. Operation only in a guarded enclosed space at 23,000 rpm.

CAUTION: FOR USE ONLY IN GUARDED AND ENCLOSED AREAS. ALWAYS USE A CONVENTIONAL MOUNTED POINT OR MANDREL WHEN POSSIBLE.
